About us

I'm Jen Kolk. I've lived in Portland for the last thirteen years. I'm a Certified Veterinary Technician, and I've worked in veterinary clinics for seven years. I've loved animals for as long as I can remember, and I've always wanted to work with them for a living. I'm patient and compassionate with animals, and I work to establish a strong rapport with each client. Sometimes it takes treats, sometimes a new toy, and sometimes just a lot of quiet patience and gentle talking, but I can usually get your cat or dog to be my friend!

I've been petsitting full-time for the last year. It's hard work, but I love getting to meet so many new animal friends, and their loving owners. 

I'm in the SE Clinton neighborhood, and I generally try to work with clients in a 40-block radius (from the river to E 92nd, and NE Halsey to SE Woodstock, approximately), although I can travel further for an additional fee. Feel free to contact me if you're not sure!

I have one dog, Aldo, and two cats, Sterling and Basil, although they don't get to meet my clients. In addition to animals, I love film noir, hiking, and crafts/knitting.
